That’s weird, I’ve been told by Pilatus drivers that the PT-6 engine can’t fail under any circumstance. I wonder what happened to this one...

Contrary to the belief of most pc12 pilots of today a pt6 can fail or you can run out of fuel. It will be interesting to see why they ended up in the water.

I always got goose bumps thinking of the "horsemen" driving around the arctic in theirs. I actually met an RCMP pilot who took early retirement rather than give up his king air and fly one of those.

Like I always said more engines is always better. My favourite was always more than 2  I guess that makes be a very old and not in tune with less is better.

People will believe pretty much anything these days as long as it's published on the internet. Like my old pappy said, "you can slide much farther on bullshit than you can on coarse gravel"

While with TC, I used to work with an ex-WW II pilot whose preference was two engines...

This guy:

Used to say that the more throttles you grab, the better!

PS. He thought Howard Hughes was a douche.

George's son gave me his Dad's light from his workbench after
he died. Still have it. It's next to the horseshoe magnet from the
F-104 radar magnetron.

The Old Breed. All gone. I have some memories, and a few
trinkets, but that's it.
