Back in the 1990s while I was flying there was a motel on the property of the Penticton Airport. A guy who was the public relations officer for casara and a bit funny used to tell fond stories of stopping there on the way to the Abbotsford air show from Springbank.
You could taxi up and park/tie down a plane right behind the hotel. This sounded pretty fun to me and on a cross country flight with another fresh PPL I ended up staying a night. I really enjoyed that.
It became one of those things I sometimes thought, "If I won a lottery I might buy that place."
It closed a few years after then a flight school took it over. Then they closed again sometime later.
I believe it is opened again but I don't know if there is any access to the air side.
I found a COPA story about someone who had owned a Havard and enjoyed the place before I had heard of it.
