Now we  will take concrete steps to eradicate all sources of that TERRIBLE POLLUTANT C02 and save our beloved  Mother Earth from the evils of modern and prosperous life style and if aviation has to be sacrificed we should all take comfort with the conviction that all this is done to save humanity from catastrophe and not at all for money,power, social engineering and control

Catherine McKenna - Minster of Environment and Climate Change
McKenna holds a bachelor’s degree in French and international relations from the University of Toronto, a graduate degree in international relations from the London School of Economics, and a law degree from McGill. She practised as a competition and international trade lawyer. She also served on Trudeau’s Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee, and was until recently executive director of a charitable organization based at the University of Ottawa that she co-founded nearly 10 years ago with a mission to improve the lives of people in the developing world.

Stephane Dion - Minster of Foreign Affairs
First elected in March 1996 in a byelection (Saint-Laurent-Cartierville), Dion is a former political science professor and was recruited by Jean Chrétien to champion the cause of federalism following the 1995 referendum. He was Liberal leader from December 2006 to December 2008, a period that included the 2008 federal election and resulting coalition crisis that almost installed him as prime minister.  Remember also that he ran as leader of the Liberal Party on a whole climate-change platform.

Kirsty Duncan - Minister of Science
Former associate professor of health studies at the University of Toronto. Has a doctorate in geography from the University of Edinburgh.  What the Ottawa Citizen's website doesn't mention is that she was a member of an IPCC committee the year they and Al Gore were awarded a Nobel Prize.

Having some inside information on the subject of cabinet ministers and senior civil service - ministers are for the most part figure heads - especially until they learn the ropes and if they are weak and are shuffled they remain so - the deputy minister is usually the power house and although he never gets any of the lime light he is actually "steering" the minister for the most part-- usually the fly in the ointment is the PM's office which will over ride or dictate to the various ministers who obviously must fold or take on the dictated policy from the PM's office -- the only time deputy ministers get dragged in is usually budget time when the ministers usually have them very close at hand and even sitting in the house to supply answers to the questions from the opposition. What makes a good minister is the strength of his deputy and the team behind him --

One of my favorite TV shows of the past is "Yes Minister" / "Yes Prime Minister" from Britain in the '80s.  The demonstration of deputy ministers running the show is quite comical, the commentaries on the DVDs point out how many government officials and politicians have told the producers the show was frighteningly accurate.  Nonetheless with this lot and the PM's stated policies and intentions, I think we're poised to be a full participant in the global 'Carbon Economy'.  This can only mean life is going to become a good deal more expensive for all of us.

Exercising power over 'we-the-people' by un-elected officials must be a highly intoxicating and addictive drug.
