Anyone here taken the B.C. Ferry from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert?
Looking at their site I see the cost for my motor home and the car is around $1,500.00 which looks like a good deal.
So anyone here been on that route?
Inside passage.

It will cost you far more in gas and wear and tear to drive than it would be to take the ferry! At least that's the way I saw it a few years ago with my old jalopee' which probably burns a heck of a lot less than a motor home!
Shoot me a PM if your planning on coming up as I know a few co-workers and I would kill to meet you over a BBQ on my patio!
All the best,

Sounds like a plan.
We will probably do it early in August.
I can not afford not to use the thing as much as possible, it would be pure madness to buy a new forty foot diesel motor home and not use it. :)

We spent some time checking the actual cost of the trip one way on B.C. Ferries.
Over two thousand dollars for the motor home the car and the two of us.
Fluck that, that will pay for enough diesel fuel to drive to Toronto and back.
Living on Vancouver Island gets expensive if you have to use the ferries more than a couple of times a year.
A few weeks ago it cost us $311.00 for a one way fare from Nanaimo to Vancouver on a week day.
That is about ten dollars a mile.
So we are going to drive to prince Rupert to visit relatives and drive back.
Probably before the end of this month.
Gotta visit Bruce when I am there because I want to see the lobotomy scar he has from learning to deal with T.C. :) :) :)

Likewise Chuck!
Spoke with Ducapo today and we agreed that a BBQ on my deck would be perfect.
Ducapo has also graciously offered to provide my BBQ and I quote "the best and most expensive steaks that money can buy". Kinda took me by surprise!
Let us know once you've confirmed the dates...

WTF????[/quote]
Several cans of spam will be perfect Bruce, remember you are dealing with pilots and if it is not aluminum they don't notice.
