Have yet to hear a thing about this, I have my suspicions as to the cause but I know the good people at the TSB will do their jobs.
Can't wait to watch the movie about this HERO pilot saving the day.

That movie sounds good, I'd cast Katharine Heigl as the pilot, Jason Segal as co pilot and Sophia Loren as the owner of the company.

What about IceT and Coco as the pilots of the competing company across the ramp?

I suspect they're not real, but don't tell anyone.

I will be up front in what I personally think about that accident and others like it.

In my opinion the flying industry and the regulators have developed a policy of covering up the seriousness of these accidents by treating them as an inevitable part of flying commercial airplanes and allowing the principals in these companies as well as the crews involved to explain it as " shit happens " which has become all to common a statement for many years and thus absolving those involved of any real accountability for what in many cases is either incompetence or carelessness in the pre-flight planning and proper monitoring of the flight.

Note:

I am not stating that there was either poor planning or carelessness involved in that particular event, I am only saying there seems to be a culture of permissiveness and very little accountability in today's commercial operations in Canada.

And the TSB may need more investigators because they take so long to release their findings most people have forgotten the event they were investigating.

Or more likely in my opinion they are politically controlled thus the seeming downplaying of the seriousness of what they are investigating.

O.K.

Feel free to ream me out for the above thoughts.  :D

Chuck,

Totally.

The club would rather beat the drum to see laser pointers (dumb) sentenced to 5 years prison, but not a word about fixing  his own industry. Immune from criticism.  Erasing CVR's to hide evidence?
No problem.  Stay in your lane, they say.

Something that seems to be missing lately is the reality that with responsibility comes accountability.

That accident was a very serious one and fortunately no one was injured or killed, but for some reason it just seems to be accepted as just a minor event that could not have been prevented.

I find it difficult to understand why we have come to this place where cause is put on the back burner and no one seems to care why paying passengers and the public driving on a street in a city were put in so much danger.
