Just another day at an Asian Airline....
It's amazing they don't have more accidents.

Have flown these guys (sigh).
Can't count how many airlines I've been on. A few that raised eyebrows.
Still alive somehow.

If they both were out of the cockpit what would have happened if the flight deck door swung shut?

I don't think the door can lock by it's self.
However they both should be put in jail for a long long time as there is no excuse for leaving the airplane with no one at the controls...period.
On the Airbus they do. There are ways of accessing the cockpit outside of humans opening it from the inside.

Oh for the good old days when you could slap your FO a couple of times and they wouldn’t run out of the cockpit crying.
This misunderstanding stuff is definitely a safety issue. Without two pilots in the cockpit who can the capt blame for a botched landing?
