Friend of mine is looking for an AA-5B. Jesus, they're asking big money for an airplane 40 years old.

Are they getting it?

Used aircraft prices are crazy.

I guess I was dropped on my head, but the only airplanes I would consider would
be a MiG-21 or maybe MU-2 or a King Air 200 if you want something practical.

Ok, maybe a DC-3 with a wet bar and a BBQ for the meat bombing boogie weekends.
But that's it.

I haven’t checked lately but last year you could get two Westwinds for the price of an MU-2. One was even cheap enough you could finance it for lower monthly payments than a new leather interior’d diesel pickup. Jet speed AND that Ted Smith pedigree!
