Yeah, that was Rookie's bush pilot hero from Africa.
Couldn't land a 172 in a crosswind. My hero.
I don't get it. You mean the guy in the video in this post flying into cool places came to Canada to fly a 172 and had some difficulty?
I didn't know either JW, Referring to my linked post about my friend in the PNG bush, that PNG was even in Africa.
This is getting better by the moment.
Everyone knows Africa is not a country, correct? And PNG -- never mind. There's google.

Don't be ridiculous. Of course you own a shiny corporate jet,
because you're so good with money.
Or so you keep telling us.

So do you know the guy or not? If so, is he a student pilot or some high time bush pilot? Maybe we can close the thread although I am waiting to see another YSH crash picture.

JW Scud,
I have no idea who this person is, if you're asking me.
Another cool video or 2. Don't know this guy flying but doubt CYSH would give him too many concerns.
For years, he tells me that he is a shit pilot, but
that's ok, because he knows pilots from BumFuck
Nowhere that fly Cessnas much better than I ever
could, and besides, he's a financial genius.
Sure.
Then one of his heroes from Buttplug Nowhere
turns out to not be able to land a 172 in a wind
that Cessna describes as being within the ability
of an average pilot.
Then Rookie turns out to be not so good with
money. Fortunately John Cleese explains Rookie:

This is what a real flying looks like, Rookie:

Still waiting to see pictures of your shiny new
business jet.
I know a Goldman Sachs partner. He's pretty
good with money. Flies his own Cessna 525,
not some shitty old 182. Gave him some dual
in a Pitts S-2C. He thought it was quite an
airplane, even if shitty financial people in
Toronto don't think so.

Looks like Andy still hasn't figured out that PNG isn't in Africa. Someone throw him an atlas and put him out of his misery.
Clearly this was a major screw-up by the instructor.
PS, how come when I search scudrunners on google I get results like this:

So, neither your nor Rookie will post pictures
of you flying your shiny jets? Well, ok:

Note how skillfully and gently the rolls were
performed, despite the low cloud ceiling. The
straps on the back ejection seat always hang
perfectly down, with light positive G during the
entire maneuver. Skill that you will never know.
Please, pictures of you flying shiny jets.
You have something against jets? Ok, back to
props:
At low altitude, displaying aircraft control and
skill that you will never, ever possess.

You know Andy, you can take all kinds of ridiculous shots at me, to build your own ego. Shows your character, not mine. Your self esteem must be incredibly fragile. How sad to travel through life, degrading others.
It's really not important to me, nor I suspect to many, pilots. I've done acro a few times. Doesn't....really do it for me.
I'd rather take a crap 182 through the mountains, low and slow, on a beautiful day, which I've done many times, than fly a jet or a Pitts like an expert. It's pure magic.
But listen to this: what I fly, how well I fly, is not who I am. I have so much more. A success business? Sure. But that's not what matters, either, Andy.
Know what brings me a ton of joy flying? Using it to help sick people, which I've done a lot of, up north.
That's what brings purpose and joy to friends of mine, in far away countries too, who you choose to mock.
You don't, have any more. Your flying is your identity, is all you are. Someday it will be taken away.
Then you have, and be, nothing.
Reflect on that.

Looks like we're into long-cocking! Yippee!
For you jet jocks, what the lowest and slowest you've ever successfully entered a loop?
