One thing I'd like to see people do with ADs is when they import an aircraft into Canada list the ADs (and mods for that matter) in the Canadian logs. At my last annual my AME couldn't find proof that some stabilator counterweight AD was complied with, there was absolutely nothing about it in the 30+ years of Canadian logs so naturally he wanted to comply with it. Luckily I managed to find a reference to it in the ancient, chicken scratch filled original mechanical logbook from '66 that looks more like a pamphlet than a proper logbook.
