The US economy and foreign policy was superb 2016-2020 and sucked 2020-2024. I’ll let you figure out why.
PS 2020-2024 are going to be great here. Please stop voting for Trudeau. It’s going to take you decades to dig out of that hole, just like when Trudeau senior bankrupted the country. You don’t need to make it any deeper.

There’s always a whole lot of voter remorse when the Left takes power and inevitably makes everyone poorer, because that’s what they do. Every. Single. Time.
You’d be hard pressed to find a single enthusiastic Liberal voter in Canada today, but every election millions of Good Canadians vote for Trudeau to make them poorer and take away their freedoms and fill cities with criminals, because that’s the cost of virtue-signaling “good government”.
Your CBC and mangerial/bureaucratic class hated Harper, but how was Canada when he was PM? I know I’m biased, he’s my cousin, but name a better PM in the last 100 years. Not easy.

I didnt realize that you had been hit so badly financially the last 4 years.

I hate to tell you this but, that has not been my experience. Im not worried about crime, I havent felt my "freedoms stripped away" and Im definitely not poorer. I mean, the only person I recall bitching about losing money was the CEO of the company my wife was working for bitching that his renumeration was only 22 million that year. If that's the only guy who didnt get enough money, Im fine with that.
So its not the hellscape that maybe whatever media you have been consuming paints.

To be honest? Not a lot different than it was before, and not a lot different after for the average working joe. Alberta's fortunes, for example have been tied to the price of oil, to which the PM has no control over. Personally I liked him better than most, but I didnt have a special love for him. He stupidly lost his last election with some ridiculous negative ads and silly focus on burquas.
The real problem in this discussion is your focus on "the left" which hasnt really ever held power in any meaningful sense. All the places you view as "left wing hellscapes" are really right wing totalitarian regimes. One of the hallmarks of right wing politics of course being the reverence of a strong man leader figure, and the government's subservience to his whims. Venezuela for instance Chavez initially rose to power on left leaning populist politics, but when the price of oil wouldnt sustain it, reverted to a right wing cult of personality to preserve his power, and then of course perpetuate that with his next in line Maduro, who cemented the cult of personality.
Your slavish adoration of leaders is a hallmark of the right wing. Recall that the terms right and left, stem from french politics where the right side of the parliament were the ministers who supported the king and the concept of his divine right to rule. While right leaning politicians frequently say they want "smaller" governments, what they really want is governments incapable of keeping their leader figures in check, and for those governmental agencies to strictly serve the party agenda.
While right wingers will often tell me that they're freedom loving libertarians. They too often have strange ideas about the government supervising what you do in your family life and enforcing their own religious beliefs.
Canadian politics as it were have three parties and the main alarming thing is a shift to the right by the conservatives. I cant deal with the crazy religious crap they are starting to flirt with. The NDP isnt going to ever get enough votes, and only are going to jockey for a few seats. The Alberta NDP still fought for pipelines and digging oil out of the ground. The "left" you panick over just isnt as scary as you would like us to believe, mainly because they really are only a hair left of centre.
I mean south of the border the only "left" politician I ever see is Bernie, and he really isnt that left, and exerts no power anyways. Contrast that to the states that are firmly locked under red control where they exercise some real political power. I mean who would have thought that in freedom loving Texas they managed to effectively ban porn. So much for "freedom".

I have no idea what you are talking about, but you are concerned that you don't get free porn from Texas any more? Maybe try another state?
Really? That's a bigger concern than your dictator dancing with Taylor Swift during the riots in Montreal?
Maybe stop shitting on America for 5 minutes and fix your own goddamned country?

Been thinking about your concern about the lack of free porn from Texas. As long-term resident of California, I find it vaguely concerning and offensive that our free porn here in the state of California is not up to your level of perversion which I understand from Bill Clinton and Hunter Biden’s laptop, is legendary on the Left.
So, what specific sexual perversion does Texas porn have, that no other state has? Something non-consensual with Mexican midgets? You’re going to have to help me here, we conservatives just don’t know what we’re doing when it comes to perversion.
On that topic, why did your guy Trudeau quit his drama teacher job mid-term again? How much was the payoff?

Hmm, your other posts disappeared for reasons.
Im not much of a porn guy, but it may concern you that your governments are liking to see what you like to watch. Technically the porn is still free, but the state governments have saw fit to make you register on a site (usually by making you submit a copy of your DL) before accessing them. Now rest assured, California is still safe, your privacy rights are still paramount there. But Ive discovered that practically in every red state Ive been to, has the same policy as Texas. At the moment that includes Texas, Montana, Virginia, North Carolina and Nebraska.
So how long is it until they start regulating what else you can see? I mean regulating the internet in such a fashion is something that China, North Korea and Russia do.
Just pointing that out. I mean technically it can be viewed as an assault on the first ammendment.

Thanks to Elon Musk and X, the first amendment is doing just fine here, which is driving the Left nuts, whom all state “we must control the narrative”.
Keep voting for Trudeau. He’s doing such a great job.

If you believe Elon is going to preserve your free speech then i got a bridge to sell you.
Paradoxically while voting red, you live in a blue state that is doing its best to limit the effects of Red policies. I really cant take you seriously until you move to Texas. Or Montana maybe, but Texas has more motorcycle weather.
And for the umpteenth time, I dont vote for Trudeau. Never have. But my prediction is the conservatives will blow the next election again. With some research, i find i agree with most of Piolievre's views, but the new conservative (i should specify UCP) tendency to dally with religious nut jobs, and conspiracy mongers gives me pause.

You don’t get it. Prop 36 passed with over 70% of the vote and your George Soros DA in LA is out along with the mayors of Oakland and SF.
In absolute numbers, Californians voted for Trump third behind only Florida and Texas. Over 40% of the popular vote in California voted for Trump. You need to stop listening to your garbage legacy media. All they do is lie.
America and California are both worth fighting for, and we will win. I can only apologize if I lack the apathy and resignation of a Good Canadian whom is grumpy when he is denied free porn from Texas.
And feel free to fix your fucked up country before you shit on mine. We’re recovering just fine, thank you.
