Gotta look at my book when my official first flight was but 16 years old rings a bell. 1996 or 97 CF-GAU Fleet Canuck

Flying around with my dad as a kid didn’t count but I tell you what I probably had 100 hours stick time before my first instructional flight.

Kids if anyone reads this find a tail dragger and learn on that every plane after that is a piece of cake.

Exactly. Learn to control yaw from day one. Primacy is real.

The four bars will tell you that this is really only an issue for silly little airplanes, but:



A legendary DPE here died in the central valley in a training flight in a Baron not too long ago. You'll never guess what happened.
