Someone goes ahead and makes an argument for more automation…
A loonie says the AC was slow to roll for takeoff (I’m not saying it to pick in AC) I think there is an expectation that ATC wanting the taking off aircraft to apply TO thrust right away, and the crews aren’t ready for it.
The case from the other month with FedEx and Southwest (KAUS) is looking like that is a major causation of the near miss.
