I work for an ULCC down south. We don’t make money on fares, rather the ancillary bullshit. Like $4 for a coffee.
Eff paying for that, but people do.

Yep that’s the only thing to make money on with the fares so low. Baggage is another one especially at the terminal for 3-4X what it costs to buy online. It’s sneaky, they prey on people who don’t fly 4x a month like me. Families headed to florida once a year is where their little games make a profit.
