This should not have come as a surprise.
On the retracts, better to check for brake pressure after the gear is down instead of doing it before.
Or if at all which seems to be the case here, judging from him verbalizing his flow.

This was a recent Extra crash in England. Fortunately survived. Will see if I can post the accident report here at some point:
