All they used for the design: pencil,paper and one of this

Was watching a program about the Saturn V.
Wernher von Braun didn't want to go to the moon - he wanted to go to Mars. That's what the Saturn V was designed for.
They were saying we could no longer build one today - a lot of the analog stuff is no longer in use and even the engines would need a huge redesign. The Engines were modified as necessary by the Engineers on site and the drawings were not updated - you don't see that anymore.
Basically you'd need to start with a blank piece of paper - kind of sad that we can't do what we could do 50 years ago.

What a great guy, WayneH was. I had no idea how on earth he could
stand to work for his boss, Arlo. I often thought that if WayneH killed him,
no jury in the land would ever convict him.
