Another skill is one that is very helpful is the ability to instil confidence in the student.

Isn’t that the truth, Chuck?
My experience teaching both sexes is that we’re constantly reminding the young guys that they’re not as good as they think they are and therefore they shouldn’t be attempting those things yet while telling the ladies that they CAN do this, they’ve done it before. In fact, they just did it several times while I sat without touching or saying anything.
So different.
Rarer still to find a reluctant male or confident female but they do appear from time to time.

Come to military aviation you’ll find all of them.
Not all, but many female student pilots are wayyyyy overconfident because of what’s between their legs.
Sure a miniorify in the profession, but because you have a pair of tits doesn’t make you special, so there is no reason to cry when you don’t get your way. It happened a lot.
