There is certainly some potential for a wire that has been touching
something and vibrating for 70+ years to have that problem Tailwind W10.

Are the lights intermittent or do they continue to work the whole time
after they first start to function?

If something is loose it would likely flicker also in a plane due to vibrations.
Although a loose connection could so far have just coincidentally caused
your problem to act as it has.

Not yet.  I've been up to my eyeballs in Airbus school the last several weeks. (Of course I'll be missing AirVenture as well!)

I'll be heading back home this weekend and need to take a look.
