How many decades did you instruct for?

i heard chatter from someone" non aviation oriented"  that they may have attempted a return to airport. I have no data to support it. I think Ted was well known as a good go to guy for Lake Amphibs, the plane was supposedly under mtce recently, or day of. This  from the same source. Godspeed. Condolences....
