The Basler DC3 conversion just had an upgrossing, from 28,750 to 30,000. This has been around for a while for the aircraft with extended range and fuel dumps. It is now approved for all, including the conventional fuel system with no fuel dumps. Landing weight is kept at 28,750. I guess de-rated engines have advantages. Heavy weight T/O power is 111% torque - this puts the loads on short trips up towards 11,000 lb - damn I'm glad I'm past the freight handling stage of my career.
