I had some steel wool and a 9V battery in my survival kit up the Yukon. Thought I would share this as I came across this video today.
What's your survival kit hack or survival tip.

Only survival kit I ever carried was some
gin, vermouth, olives, a swizzle stick and
a cocktail glass.
I figured if I crashed, I would make a drink,
and sure enough, someone would jump out
from behind a tree and tell me,
THAT'S not how you make a martini!!!

I also kept a bottle of rye in my kit and after a summer of flying was done, I would crack it and share it with my friends up there. Kind of became a tradition, how many miles the bottle had on it this year and be thankful I didn't need it out in the bush somewhere.
I stole this idea from an old pilot heading back up to Alaska, I ran into him my first season while we waiting out some weather in Beaver Creek.
