The Tiger Boys will be having their annual Open House, 3rd weekend of September at Guelph (19/20). I'm planning on being there, GoBoy will be there and HPC is planning on it.

How about seeing how many of us can get there on Sat 19th? First ever Scudrunners forum meet-up...... (There is food and aeroplanes!)

Just have to work out how to recognise each other - Don't think carnations in the button-hole is our style.... if you believe the other site then it should be baseball bats and lock knives..... any suggestions?

Of course, if you believe the ad's on this site, we'll all be instantly recognisable by the 'Sweet Asian Woman" or "Russian Senior" we will have on our arms....

This sounds like a great idea. I wish I could attend, however, I'm a few too many time zones away...

Targeted ads, according to your interests. All I get are ads for Geritol, Fixodent, and Depends. What have you been up to lately?

jk, i don't see any ads

You have three weeks to cross those time zones.  If the Wx cooperates it will be worth it even if you have to get there on foot.

I'll be there rain or shine, just look for the tall guy in plaid (the pattern hides the oil stains).

True about the time until this gathering, however, damn work gets in the way! If only I could go where I want to go, whenever I want to!!

Sounds legit, I'll let it slide this time then.  If you can ever scrape up an excuse to come out to the open house I highly recommend it, so long as you're the type who likes airplanes and airplane people.

Yup
Seeing as I am one of the Tigerboys, I will be there as usual (knock on wood) come rain or shine
Its a Vintage and classic aircraft event and one of the only true "grass roots" events in Ontario
90% taildraggers and not many aircraft with starters but you modern owners are welcomed also  :)
No admission, though we do ask for a small insignificant donation towards the upkeep of the aircraft collection , no ropes , no pushy people telling you what to do
Hotdogs  hamburgers chilli  or bring an your won picnic basket sit on the grass and watch airplanes fly .  Hell, we even serve Tim Hortons coffee all day .Walk right up to the airplanes and talk to the pilot/owners, even go for a ride in a vintage airplane if you are so inclined . We even have pedal planes for the kiddies
If you have a vintage car or motor cycle , bring that too and we will put you on display .
This is a very informal event . not a four bars type event  ;), just the way we like it , relaxed fun , inviting

Here I created this let me know if that works, and for anyone else who wants to get a private section for their Flying Club or group let me know I can make it happen.
