Why do you guys always have to break the silence out there? If no one says something for more than two minutes someone always asks for a radio check. Why? Is the voice in your head to loud to deal with alone? Why is it so inconcievable that in all that airspace no one is doing anything that needs to be reported?
Man, i remember once, flying on Thanksgiving day (American), and it was pure, golden silence for three sectors in a row. It was glorious.

Yes. Those fire handles start singing louder and louder too…
Also I fly trash so there’s always a chance my crap has crapped out.
