The 21st century "experts" tell me that the SIGMET for severe icing was unrelated. Ok.

I guess nobody remembers Roselawn IN. ADS-B tells the story.

Flew out of Sao Paulo a few days ago.

Plenty of SIGMETS for Turbulence and Icing - the weather had moved North.

We received a "Severe Icing" warning during climb-out in the low 20s - not something you see very often. We were able to climb out of it - not conditions you want to spend any time in.

Most turbulence I've experienced in quite a while - it was bad enough that we had to descend.
