Ever notice that Bad Things happen when there is no ILS?

When there is an ILS - and crews actually manage to dial in the LOC freq - things get a whole lot safer.

But like Hunter Biden's laptop, that's just not very interesting.

How would an ILS have helped this China Eastern crew?

They are generally 3 degree and not 90?
45 / 47 => 95 3/4%
