TC enema inbound !
Unbelievable how in the hell does that happen. It’s probably on their checklist 3 times maybe they need it 4 times.
I can read the TC bulletin now.
Though shalt check fuel four times no more, no less. Four shall be the number of checks though shalt check, and the number of the checking fuel shall be four . Five checks shalt thou not count, neither check thou three, excepting that thou then proceed to four, Five is right out. Once the number 4 being the fourth number, be reached,
Though shalt commence take off.

I wonder if it would help if they put three pilots in their airplanes?

The problem with that is how do you find out if they are?It makes me wonder what sort of pressures the management is putting on crews to shave the fuel load.

It was amazing the difference between Alaska and YTH - YSF with respect to expectations of cargo/payload.
In Fairbanks if I chose to load an extra few gallons of gas “for the kids” I was scolded and told to reduce my cargo load. That is an absolute 180* directional change from when I worked the ramp and fueled the ‘ho’s in YSF.
In Stony, you took the cargo. You also didn’t run out of gas. Read between those lines.
I’m very thankful I cut my teeth where I did.

I’ll put good money on the crew rushing because dispatchers/ company pushing for on time departure after they where delayed coming in.
Go go go, “you got enough fuel from the last sector”. Hey did we get fuel while loading ? Huh I thought you called the truck?
Cue the PT6 shutting down.
