Ive been thinking of doing a podcast or Scudcast (working title) for some time.

Seems like every time I’m all set something cramps my groove. Another kid, covid, etc.

This time things are lining up.

I want to do a weekly Aviation News, hot topics in the forum, accident reports with commentary
(maybe even speculation 🧐).

Also do some interviews.

I’m looking for suggestions likes or dislikes of podcasts you might listen to.
Suggested topics?

Fire away I’ve got a face for radio.

Do you bow hunt or like the taste of Elk meat?
If so you might have a bright future in podcasting

You should consider YouTube as a platform Scud, but either way I would listen.

I think to start I would use Youtube even if it was just an audio file at first. Expand from there maybe people would want to see my face and one day a hangar full of toys in the back ground.

Doesn't need to be glamorous, one of the top aviation guys mostly stands on his back deck, and has even done updates from terminals as I assume he is an airline pilot.

He's a four bar that flies little airplanes, too. Like Nark, except not as handsome.

Four bars that only fly big porkers after weeks of training make me uneasy. Like
guys that only date fat chicks after long courtships. I don't get it.

Back in the 20th century, we considered that someone was a good pilot if he could
jump into anything and fly it immediately - and precisely, and smoothly.

A friend of mine - used to be Chief Test Pilot at the NRC - was of course ex-mil and
while at CEPE (or whatever the kids call it these days) and they were honoured by a
visit from Chuck Yeager himself. Now, it's never a good idea to meet your heroes,
and my buddy asked Chuck what helicopters he'd flown. "All of them", was the reply.

So they got good and drunk, and the next day, badly hung over, they went flying
and indeed, Chuck Yeager was a very impressive helicopter pilot in whatever
types they had around at the time.

A good pilot can fly anything. Or so we thought, back in the 20th century.

A guy I know, his Dad gave Howard Hughes some dual, I forget in what. Some big
pig, probably. Howard Hughes thought he could fly anything, but apparently his BO
was pretty bad and giving him dual was not terribly enjoyable.

I’ve wanted to start a podcast with some Army buddies. Really just an excuse to drink beers around a microphone. I was going to call it “Barely Aviated”
Which is why I have the url and used it for the Twin Beech.

Let me know how I can help!
