Many Oil and Gas companies in Alberta require their personnel to be flown around by pilots with a certain level of experience.
During the 1980's and 90 many Oil companies corporate flight departments where dissolved in an effort to save the cost of operating their flight departments.
As a result many of those companies turned to chartering small and large aircraft to get their workers to remote sites. Many new operations sprung up to fill the demand, not all where professionally run and many employed inexperienced pilots to save on cost to compete for these lucrative contracts.

During the successive years a number of accidents and incidents involving charters with oil and gas personnel on board resulted in companies seeking solutions to mitigate the risk.
A corporate pilot in YYC saw an opportunity to consult to the Oil industry to provide guidance on who is qualified to fly their workers.

This company developed a matrix of pilot experience requirements for those companies.

Pilots often complained about them while seeking employment as they became a standard to landing a job during difficult times in the aviation industry.
A source shared these pictures of the requirements many years ago. I repost them here as reference for anyone seeking information about them.
I'm not sure if they are even relevant anymore and when I left charter flying in Alberta many charter operations had been granted exceptions if the company met certain requirements and safety audits.

I'd be fascinated to see the corresponding Chemtrails Pilot Requirements,
but that's probably on a need-to-know basis?

How many years and hours as PIC of an aircraft spraying Agent Orange
in Southeast Asia or South America would I need? Would it matter if the
aircraft had two or four engines?



How many day and night traps on an aircraft carrier in a four engine aircraft
would be required for a Chemtrails Pilot?

What does the matrix say about bullet holes from irate locals? Is there a
minimum number of bullets holes required for a Chemtrails Pilot? Do you
need to be shot and missed, or shot at and hit? PIC or SIC?

How many thousands of acres of deforestation? In the last 90 days?

What about F-18 pilots who fly around 200-300 hours a year and then want to retire? Are they not deemed acceptable to the Matrix? Some Hornet drivers can do a whole career and never hit 4000 hours. Personally I think judging pilot skill based on hours is dangerous, especially when they've had a high percentage of that time being backed up by (usually) a more experienced pilot. Let me be clear, hours do not equal experience; experience equals experience.

Have a look at Atlas and their incidents. Maybe worth making this one a thread in another section...

This guy used to laugh at multi-engine pilots in the mess and tell them
that they didn't have 10,000 hours - they had 1,000 hours, ten times over.

There are hours, and then there are hours. A few decades back, I got some
dual from this guy on a P-51D converted to a TF-51 who seemed to know
what he was doing:

The stellar pilot reached the 10,000-hour mark in the P-51 Mustang, having flown a total of more than 22,000 hours in various types of aircraft.

An ok airplane, but it needed engineering development. Ailerons and wingtips for starters.

I doubt you would have enough decades of industry experience, Chuck -
I think they want a minimum of nine?

Isn't it great someplace where you can say the word "Chuck" without
your thoughts being censored?

Really scary stuff from the Elites over there. If you don't agree with them,
you're not only stupid, but insane and dangerous and should be destroyed.

I remember similar rhetoric from National Socialist German Workers' Party.

Do you think they would let me back into their group if I were to offer to let one or more of their moderators retrain me so I would meet their level of expertise as a pilot?

It really makes me wonder how I ever managed to fly for a living for over half a century without ever bending one, ( It must be that lucky horseshoe I shoved up my ass before every flight. )

Can someone here who can post on their site let them know I would love to get some real flying training from their moderators?

Mods there are experts at virtue signalling. Not so much about aviation.
