To quote Governor Lepetomane, I expect at least one "harrumph"...
This is an example of fantasy-based flight training ...

Now you know why so many pilots and their instructors fly approaches at 1.4 to 1.6 Vs instead of 1.3 Vs as most manufacturers recommend. They’re afraid of flying too slow.

This also helps explain why too many pilots are afraid to exceed 30 degrees of bank in the traffic pattern.
Wow - he nailed it!  It's like Chuck wrote that article.

As I've said before, many pilots could log their time spent
in slow flight in seconds.  This needs to be addressed, not
run away from!
we’ll ask someone to be the lead man on the ACS committee who is on record saying that, “Flying is not safe.”
Thinking about it ....

Airlines are scraping the bottom of the barrel right now.

And, the people who can't get on with the airlines ...

....soon this form won't be for rental customers.  It will be for flight instructors themselves.  The standards are going down that much.

From the PFC Checkride form:

“Note: RPP Holders require a checkride every 3 months regardless of PIC time or results.”

When my slight medical issue gets resolved, I’m thinking of downgrading to the RPP.  I’d like to show up and see if they’d insist on fulfilling that parameter…

Heh heh ... I wonder if I could get them to take a ride with me?

I'd sure love them to tell me what Eric and I were doing wrong yesterday.

They probably wouldn't like what I cooked yesterday, either.

Creeping standard.  First spins are eliminated, the stalls, now slow flight.
