Does anyone have a problem with that rate? It's what I paid
for my last BFR.
Instructor: USD$100/hr

That's amazing, I've been thinking about renewing my instructor ticket and had every intention of charging thirty bucks an hour while feeling guilty about it. I was way off the mark.
When I was giving instruction during the last ten or so years of my career I charged $250.00 USD, or 250.00 Euro which ever had the best exchange rate at the time.
I was never short of work.
The secret is being able to teach the lesson correct and in a very short period of time compared to the industry standard.
Teaching like learning is something you must always strive for excellence in.

Note that the instructor keeps all of the usd$100/hr.
When you fly dual, you pay 2 bills: one to the FBO
for the airplane, and the other to the instructor, the
second of which I use a stack of $20's for. I'm not
claiming it, so I see no need to create a paper trail.

You can find cheaper instruction at Reid Hillview in San Jose. Rates for some of their tail wheel instructors start at USD$50 per hour. If you want a youtube celebrity instructor try Jason Miller at San Carlos, he charges USD$150. an hour.

Porkchops must be USD$200/hr - I wonder if
he would do my next BFR?
My BFR's are hilarious. Mostly I give aerobatic
instruction. I remember years ago, doing one
wheel crosswind landings in a some kind of piper
fabric taildragger that the CFI had, seeing how
close I could get the wingtip to the runway :))
I honestly believe that if you do nothing else in
your lifetime except learn how to skillfully hold
the upwind wingtip inches from the runway during
one wheel crosswind landings in a tube & fabric
taildragger, you have not wasted your life, but
many people think I am pretty dim.
Ok, dull stuff. Spice it up a little and slow to
just above stall at 1000 AGL directly overhead
the runway. Apply full throttle and forward stick
for -4G's for a half loop downwards and level out
inverted over the runway at the surface at Vne,
opposite direction.

You can do that, you are in an exceptionally
small and elite group of pilots, of which I can
count on the fingers of one hand in Canada.
