I rather enjoy watching a master at work, who can make
something - could be an airplane, or a guitar, or motorcycle -
do [i]precisely[/i] what he wants it to do.

While some people are offended by the above, to me it is
the highest level of skill, and is something good and worthwhile.

These gentlemen are startlingly good pilots.  Two points on the video though:


1.  How can you make a video like this and NOT have a mike in the hangar so I can hear the doppler as they pass through?


2.  I would like to know your debrief on the formation flying displayed.  Specifically, number 2 as they exit the hangar.


I don't really care for the taste of Red Bull but I'm liable to start drinking it if they use my money like this.

1) I know.  Doppler gives me a chubby.



2) Well, he didn't hit the lead, and interestingly he
didn't hit the hangar, either.  This is similar to a
formation landing, where the wing needs to formate
both with the lead aircraft and the runway, sorta.

Some pilots can make an aircraft do [i]exactly[/i] what they want it to.

While viewed as anachronistic in some aviation quarters, I
greatly appreciate and cherish this kind of skill.
