Another thread in here talked about VRS and the general state of bad that goes with it. It seems the Swiss found a more efficient way to recover than dumping collective and flying out of it.

I can dig it.
We don’t teach recovery in the Blackhawk other than cyclic input.
(VRS or Settling With Power…) is taught in academic portions of flight school, but we don’t practice them at all. I started in the TH-67 (B206) ->OH-58C-> UH-60.
What is taught for civilians?
Which leads to tactics: how much lateral space is given up with this technique, as compared to cyclic input?
Said a different way: don’t put yourself in a position that leads to VRS, so you don’t have to recover from it. (But that’s a larger conversation, than just a blanket statement).
