$36k/mo is pretty good. You could pay off the $10k bond with your first paycheck.

36000 a Year
After tax that’s about 2400 a month to live the high life in YVR.

Oh. A year.
I saw a training bond. Didn’t know they were still a thing.
I’d take the $10k and get a 737 or 320 type.

That sure puts things in perspective. CommutAir’s $25,000/year USD
retention bonus is nearly the same as CMA’s salary. SMH.
Though I’m sure the hiring minimums between CMA and CommutAir’s EMB 145s are different. Maybe not a perfect apples to apples.

And now Canadians are being sponsored for green cards in the USA see

If this is an option I can see AC and others bleed many pilots south.

I know a guy, he bailed on a regional, got a real job. Did not like the shit pay and commute.
But things have changed. Various regionals keep pestering him, offering signing bonuses.
I think the latest offer was us$140k/yr, he laughed and said no thanks.
I think I mentioned that a different kid who did my BFR got right seat at Southwest. Very happy.
Recruiters here are very aggressive. Google finally stopped bothering me after I told them, they couldn’t afford me.
Anyways, if I was a working Canadian pilot, I would get an FAA ATP. I did it, and most Canadians think I’m an idiot, so you can too.
