Ginger Lacey Fighter Pilot ... by townshend bickers...
quite a read, battle of france to battle of britain to end of war, quite a read.
Spitfire would be nice to fly, but not when folks are shooting at you....
an unassuming fella that was a good enough flyer and a great shot!

I had read that book before the "Battle of Britain" movie came out. It was an impressive read, especially about all the discomforts they had to put up with.
He acted as an adviser on the movie, which came out in 1969.

Another one is "The Big Show" by Pierre Clostermann.
