If you are a potential Mooney buyer, a plane that has never been on grass, or at least is not being operated on grass regularly, might be preferred. The mooney tanks often leak after 30-40 years. The more vibration/rough surface, the more chance for leaks.

So a never-been-on-grass-with-original-tank-sealant mooney would be preferred over a landing-it-on-grass-every-day-with-original-tank-sealant. Then again, a grass mooney with a recent tank reseal is likely in better condition than a pavement mooney with a 50 year old seal job.

Well, the Mooney that gets flown more often by the better pilot may be in better shape than the one that hardly gets flown by the worse pilot.
