Don't get me wrong, the last 10 years has been an incredible rush, but ...

You getting a J-3? I want one something fierce but I think a Cub-y would suit me better, then my imagination runs away with things that can be changed…

As long as it’s a taildragger it’s ok with me.

I prefer tube&fabric, radial would be nice, stick is better, grass would be heaven.

Just teaching people to control yaw.

There’s a grass strip just north of Hollister, south of RHV. Frazier Lake, that’s what it’s called. Gotta get me some of that.

So what’s at the top of your list, then? You strike me as a Pitts Model 12 disguised as Samson kind of guy if you’re sticking to those specs but I’ve been wrong before.

I liked the Model 12 but very subjectively I kind of prefer the Stearman. The R-985 made it a bit nose heavy but gosh the power. Reminds me of the Hayabusa (which I rode to work today).

Can’t argue with that logic. The heart wants what it wants and it’s not like a brain will ever pick a radial engine biplane when all is said and done.

This summer I want to scout out more places to take the Champ, places like that. The Moth is also getting a mutant portable radio I’m making up so it can go more places and go more places it shall. If I burn enough avgas maybe they’ll build a second refinery.

Last summer I finally dragged my sorry ass up to the gliding club for one of their Friday night BBQs and had a great time. There’s an option to camp there for the night with a big fire pit and generally set up for a good time so this summer I want to go back and get banned.

But anyways, what took you away from being ‘that guy’? Everything alright with you out on the granola coast?

If this is the guy I'm thinking of ... this four bar can fly. He recently bailed on his ULCC left seat and is now right seat United.
