However, Van Nuys can suck a ginormous fat one. When we land in BUR, we overfly VNY and nearly always get traffic alerts and occasionally resolution advisories. Worst in our system.

First solo is definitely one of the best feelings ever. “I’m flying all by myself.”

I don't remember much from my first solo except that the airplane performed at LOT better!
It probably won't surprise you much that this is my favorite part of 16R:
Neat angles. I love the clear blue sky - you can almost feel the warmth of the sun. Home.

Worst in our system.
Worse than this?

Sliding off the rails…
Yeah Austin is interesting indeed. My last flight in there 6-9 months ago, they wanted us to land with a 15 knot tailwind. No thanks. Even Southwest went around…
Well, me and American get vectored to the right side and southwest the left. Short final, abeam the parking garage, Southwest gets lasered.
The Taco Place by our hotel (yes that’s the real name) has really great tacos.
Don’t order #6 because it has THC infused.
Do you really need to get high from taco’s Austin?
Shameless plug for my Wisconsin fall flying:

Nice!
From the other thread:
(they) weren't interested in anything they weren't getting paid to fly
Flying is like sex. I refuse to take money for it - it's a public duty!
