USD$350K for a wrecked/rebuilt Maule? A guy I know is looking at this, I told
him the only possible way you should import it, is it have it flown to Moultrie GA
and have Maule's DAR sign the C of A for the import.
I have no idea what an M9 is. I think I know what the 260hp engine is - Lyc IO-540 right?
Sheet, if you're gonna go to Moultrie, why not just buy a new Maule from them?!
What's USD$350k - around half a million Canadian? Is that a normal price up north?

Not shocked in the least bit…
Earlier this year a Canadian feller fancied his C185 at nearly $700k.
Good looking bird, but way out to lunch.
Wonder who he scammed that too.
Also there was a god awful Mooney M20 in Alberta. Original paint, as seen by the primer color that was left from being sun baked for 50+ years. No avionics or interior upgrades … $50k.
Are you guys really paying these prices?
If that’s the case, I’ll sell you my 180 for $1.2 million.

It's really bizarre I have no idea if they are actually selling them for those prices or they just tossing out hail Mary's to top up their retirement fund before the next recession.
Some have said that fewer GA airplanes are available as fire breathing 172's, Cherokees and Mooneys are smashing into terra firma at an alarming rate.

I think it has the fuselage a bit stretched over the M5 with a larger rear door, but its not a lot bigger.
Yup. I think the M5 can be upgraded to it, but it didn't really have a lot more over the Continental.I think I know what the 260hp engine is - Lyc IO-540 right?
I sort of doubt guys are getting these kinds of prices. Either a) He doesn't really want to sell it, or b) its price will become more reasonable in a few months. A few planes I have been watching have dropped quite a bit in price after their first initial outrageous offerings.
The details of my life are quite inconsequential...

Automatic transmission in that Zenith? That’s nice. My wife doesn’t like manuals.
