Just when I despair that stick & rudder skill has left the building entirely ....

Lots to learn from his landing technique. What airspeed does he use on
short final? How does he control his airspeed? How does he control his
touchdown point so precisely?

IMHO this is what should be covered during CPL training. Note the complete
absence of floating forever in ground effect, burning up runway, pumping on
the control column like the handles of a bicycle tire pump, fishing for a greaser.

Nice to watch. With my present ride, I'm pretty well restricted to hard/paved surfaces. There are days when I wish I still had my Cessna 170...

The 170 is a really nice airplane. The only thing I like more than it,
are the ads here that Neil has:

Right?

I get helicopter school ads.

Like I could fly one of those crazy things. I'm a mess flying the fire breathing 172.

Plus it sounds expensive. I miss 10 cent chicken wings.

The ads just give us an idea of what you are google searching when away from ScudRunners. Maybe the Colonel can provide some of his search words as the other ads are quite boring.

Same here, we used to sneak out of church and head over to the hotel and drink it until we ran out of money.

Now places get away with charging over $8 for an American pint.

Has that kind of pricing made it outside the gentlemen’s ballets now? Yikes.
