Every time I see that airplane I do a quick mental tally of the value of everything I own to see if I can trade it all.  Not yet.  Getting there.

You should have bought Larry’s.  I think BlakeR got it.  He will be a good caretaker- not his first moth!

PS If you peek at the journey log, I think my name’s in there, which I am annoyingly proud of.

The first picture is my favourite.

Have you got a chance to fly one yet Colonel?

You’re right, I should have.  I remember cleaning it a bunch of times when I was a kid and it was George’s, I always wanted a ride but was never in the right place at the right time.  For the time being I’ll sate myself with other dignified old biplanes but the Hornet Moth is still on my list...

Larry didn't think much of a lot of people, but he worshipped George.

All the good guys are gone  :-(

I was honored when Larry put me on the insurance as PIC.  It was for
his own benefit, but still.

No, goddamnit.  Insanely busy coding.  Only flew (S-2B) twice this week.
When I get a chance, I will go somewhere and spend a weekend and get
a type rating down here.  Weather is perfect.  Wish I was beautiful.

I will probably never fly a C-46 but oh well.  Can't do everything.

You will just love flying the DC3 it is in my opinion the best airplane ever built.

Hm, there's a place in Riverside, CA that does training on the DC-3 ... if I can find
some slack time at work (ha!) there will be more photos!

IMHO the only thing better than one radial engine, is two radial engines.

Don't get me wrong, I love turbines.  But turbines are like internet porn with
extremely high bandwidth.  Sure, it feels good, but you can't help but thinking
there's something missing.
