I noticed they are at Airventure this week and I really love these planes, they look like WW I aircraft but are more functional and easier to fly.
In the past when some people have bought a kit and scheduled a week to go in person, Robert Baslee has even helped people start their project.

You should get a kit and start building.
Failing that if you would rather just pay as you go on a plans build while supporting the home team, get a set of Graham Lee Nieuport 12 plans. It’s a two-seater so it should do fine as a you seater no matter who you are.

Those look pretty good. I would like to get a hangar, around here they are a bit pricey.

That sounds like a problem for closer to final assembly time.

We just moved and I don’t have a garage.
Should I start building in my yard?

Basement? Spare bedroom? Living room/kitchen if you want to live dangerously.
I know a guy who’s rebuilding a Pietenpol fuselage on his dining room table…

Well, the basement is a bit bulging from things I would like to move into a garage. What’s a spare bedroom? Wait, that’s my wife’s office. Full.

First, build a garage with an awesome shop. Put a urinal and a couch in it, because you know.

Darn it, when did that stop working? Twenty five years ago I would be on the phone moments after that declaration.
