Hopefully we can find the video. Sounds like she turned up in sweat pants ready to sing along with some Randy Neuman tunes.

I think there's still this perception the Pilots are somehow 'infallible'.
The truth is the Pilot group is no different from any other - I've met my share of alcoholics, drug users and people with very obvious personality disorders over the years.
One of the most extreme personalities I have ever met was a retired KLM Captain who came to fly at my company. He was the poster boy for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. There were a number of similar but slightly less extreme personalities on the same fleet so when I was offered a fleet transfer I turned it down.
Some companies have programs in place to help employees but in a lot of companies you are on your own - there is a stigma attached to admitting you need help.
While I feel sorry for the lady in question - I hope she gets the help she obviously needs - I can't condone actually showing up for work in this state.
She could have called in sick or not fit to fly. I'm sure United has help programs in place. Instead my guess is that she is likely to lose her job and her Licence.
Don't bring your personal issues to work.
Accept responsibility for your actions.
Yes I know - these days everyone is a 'victim' and nobody is responsible for their own actions anymore.
