No much difference.  Annoyingly you must do two ECG's
because TC and FAA both insist on having their own.

Vision rules are slightly different.

Costs more.

That's it.  Note that this is for category one / class one,
which you might not need - eg an FAA class two would
probably do you fine.

I'm starting to wonder if donating blood would help. My new family doctor panicked when she saw my blood pressure. So far I have been told it's high since I was a teenager but the transport docs have not said anything else.

I did the self chair at co-op the other day and it was notably high.

Oh yeah.  Tell the FAA doctor you don't snore.  For
some reason, they are hell on snoring.  They will
take your neck measurement, calculate your BMI
and look suspiciously at you, but that is all.

Remember, you have never snored, you do not
snore, and you will never snore.  Get that out there.

I get both my medicals done by a Dr. In HongKong.  Only 1 ECG (but they make two copies), and one medical, but they charge for two, (as they have to make two submissions. )
If there is any significant difference, I do not recall it.
The Drs in Canada seem to take the position of trying to keep you flying.  Not sure the FAA Drs take the same position, which might account for the preception of difference.

I do not snore....I dream I am a motorcycle
