The survivor of a small plane crash that killed a Jordanian national in Connecticut claimed it was not an accident, the mayor of East Hartford announced Wednesday, as police said they asked the FBI to assist with the investigation.

The crash of the twin-engine Piper PA-34 Seneca Tuesday afternoon killed the passenger. The pilot was in critical condition at Bridgeport Hospital but was able to speak to detectives, officials said.

The crash occurred close to jet engine maker Pratt & Whitney's corporate headquarters.
I am sure the CBC will be able to put a positive spin on this.

The "instructor" is "survivor" by chance. How would an investigation here determine "suicide" if had not survived  ?

It's unfortunate when when there's any kind of fatality in aviation but has anyone else noticed it always plays out the same when an instructor is the only survivor?  Call me cynical but the story always goes to one that's unquestionably someone else's fault.
