awareness of the AvCan Experts.

Many FTU's put a 5kt x-wind limit on training, anything more is too scary.....nuff said

I am sure the harrumphing AvCan experts will
assert that Skip isn't a "real pilot" like them, because
he flies stupid little useless biplanes which don't
teach you anything, according to them.

His day job is flying Boeings for Fedex.  I know,
not a "real pilot" compared to an AvCan expert.

I know a guy, lives near Montreal.  Flies Airbus
for AC.  Bought a Pitts S-2C (stupid little airplane
according to AvCan experts).

He says the Pitts keeps his flying skills sharp,
and that they deteriorate, when he just flies
the 320.

Funny how his opinion differs from the AvCan
experts.  I guess he doesn't know much, as a
guy that flies both Airbus and Pitts regularly.

Please forgive me for asking another question regarding this subject.


Is it detrimental for a pilot to have excellent hands and feet flying skills and be in command of a modern jet airliner, would having ingrained hands and feet skills get him/her in trouble flying a modern jet airliner?

That's my impression from the "experts".

It is a good thing we never applied for a job flying big jets because we would never have made the cut.


How would you like to be Rockies first officer for a few years?


If you really listened to him and were willing to learn you to might be able to fly a big jet.

There was a time when you had to know how to fly to be a pilot.
