Ya listening to the SAR Captains interview, I thought really these guys are extremely lucky. No ELT, they left the crash site, snow mobiler in June sees there plane and puts two and two together after hearing a report of a missing airplane.

Smart thing they did was leave a note saying where they where heading.

Yeah i heard he notified where he was going. Neat slow flying experience he describes over the rises going up the wrong valley, realized too late "a mile in". Picked a great day though.

I use to do air tours out of Pemberton awesome area to tour around but unforgiving terrain and weather. After that I went to the Yukon and well the Pemberton Ice Cap is nice and all, but ya nothing compared to Kluane National Park and the Yukon. Go north young man! (or woman)
