Just cancel the F35 order buy a few more Super Hornets and take some of the A-10s the US brass wants to retire Brrrrrrrt

Different aircraft, different missions.
A-10 will never die, the Army would spin up a larger fixed wing community and take the mothballed A-10. I'd lead the charge!
