Dry Spell

I’ve gone without *ahem* other things for longer but my current three month no-flying streak sucks.  The sim is fun but not the same, not by a long shot.

That is all.

I got my medical back. Phoned the flying club and found out the conventional gear training guy quit. The regular instructor and I can't coordinate our schedules. Le sigh.

What are you going to do when retirement comes

You need a cub on a grass field, or anything on floats.

If I had the Maule at Kakabeka again, I'd take you up!

That would be great fun.  I’m in YUL at the moment demonstrating how I can’t think but I can steer a plane, then next week more training in YYZ with hopefully a couple days I can sneak away and beg/borrow/steal something with a tailwheel and an armstrong starter...

Tube and fabric on grass is magical.  You need to get you some of that!

Wish you were closer to me.  Got a couple empty front seats tomorrow.

Reminds me of my friend Ernie.  Ex-USAF FAIP, tirelessly takes people
up in his Extra for their first flights in a small airplane:

The work of the missionary is never done!

I really appreciate that every day is blue sky and sunshine.

Endless summer for Bad Peopleâ„¢ ... I can't imagine living someplace
that I can't run W100 year-round, even if we have no virtue to signal.

I think I saw 200F on the oil temp today ... might be time to switch to W120.

Does that lack virtue, to only run straight grade?  It must be racist or sexist
to not run multi-grade, right?  Multi-grade is a more progressive oil, I was told.

Jesus.  Can't you go someplace and rent a Pitts or Extra or L39?

Life without screwing, biplanes, motorcycles, and guns would be sad.

A good day, is when you can do all four.

Preach.  I used to do the same almost daily in a borrowed Moth.  Good times.

There may not be tailwheels involved but tomorrow I at least get to go home and hug my Model T.  Maybe even drive it if I can figure out what’s broken first.
