Duane Cole was one of the great sticks,
now forgotten.

Like John Mohr, he flew the wing, not
the engine.  Unlike any other Stearman
performer, John flew the stock 220hp
W670:

What a stick!  A third generation pilot,
and a really smart guy.

Anyone can fly a powerful, fast airplane
that overcomes mistakes from crappy flying.
Chuck Ellsworth

I have a signed book by Duane Cole at home he gave my wife in Arlington at her aviation jewelry booth at an airshow.

Can't remember the year but it was in the eighties.

I have had his book "Roll Around a Point" since 1970. I wish I could have seen him fly.

Hey!  Kirk Wicker - a bunch of us had dinner
a couple years ago.  He was flying Carole
Pilon's Stearman.  Good stick.

What a small world ...

Looks like Kairys is working his ass off here. The guy has amazing situational awareness.
