Your Company’s Cannabis Policy?

What a shit show trying to find some consistency in toke-to-yoke rules.  So far with what, three weeks to go(?), most companies I’ve spoken with are too candy-ass to publish anything for fear of having to be responsible for their decision.

Has your company said anything yet, and if so what’s the policy?

"Don't be impaired while working"
Not sure how/if they can test or prove anything though.

Anyone in a "safety sensitive" position (pilots, dispatchers, engineers) shall not consume while actively employed.

A lot of companies, due to client pressures, have introduced drug and alcohol policies. Employees signed these and are a term of employment. All have zero tolerance for drugs and forbid consumption. This is a term of employment, a signed contract. This simply means that even if pot is legal you can't consume and keep your job. Mary Jane has a bad reputation in aviation and has been direct cause (as has alcohol) of fatal accidents. I would expect at the very least companies who don't have a direct drug and alcohol policy except for the CARS will amend their COM with more restrictive rules. Most have 12 hours for drinks and POT will be included, which eliminates a lot of layovers and may even bump the times higher, 18 or 24 hours. While this does not legally stop you if caught you can face disciplinary action up to dismissal.
