Somewhere down the list of fears of signing off a student for solo: having the FAA knock on my door.
“Hey Nark, your student is a dumbass, so you have to take a 709 ride.”

Think I soloed around the 15 hour mark, keep in mind that was learning on a tail dragger and I aint to bright.
I hear the norm is now 20-30.
